We look for new and seasoned voices, local and international. If you have something to bring to the community — a technical talk, a panel, a workshop, a lightning — we want to hear from you.

Open calls

These meetups are taking proposals right now, each with the formats it can stage that month.

Criteria

What we look for

  • Real technical content: production experience, architecture, postmortems, honest engineering.

  • Accessible talks: you don't need to be senior to apply. The Speaker School is designed to support you.

  • Diverse perspectives: gender, city, level, language (EN/ES), industry.

  • Relevant topics: AI/ML, web platforms, devops, mobile, security, data, product engineering, leadership.

Formats

Available formats

  • Regular talk (25 min)

    The standard meetup format. Technical topic with space for questions.

  • Lightning (3–5 min)

    Sharp idea, example, demo or reflection. Ideal for a first talk.

  • Panel (40 min)

    Moderated conversation with 2–3 voices on a topic. Groups can apply.

  • Workshop (90 min)

    Hands-on session where attendees bring laptops. For active technical audiences.

Format

About your slides

It depends on the format you pick. If you bring a lightning talk, keep the slides few: just enough to land your idea in five minutes. If you bring a full talk, you have room to develop it properly — just make sure every slide earns its place.

A lightning talk leaves no room for a live demo: bring screenshots and talk through them. A full talk can fit one, but keep a recording or screenshots to hand in case the network lets you down.

How to apply

  1. Fill the form below with title, format, abstract, takeaways, and a link about you.
  2. We reply within 7 days to align on date and format.
  3. If it's your first time, we can connect you with Speaker School mentorship.

Optional. If you do not pick one, we will consider your proposal for the next date that fits.

They do not have to be finished: a draft, an outline, or even the link to where they will be published all count. They help us assess the proposal and suggest improvements while there is still time to make them. Reusing a previous deck? Paste that link.

Optional. Paste a link to a photo of you, or write “use my LinkedIn photo” and we will take it from the profile you shared above. We use it on the flyer and on your speaker page.
