PereiraJS was born in 2014, founded by a group of enthusiasts of the JavaScript programming language. For several years it ran talks and workshops — including NodeSchool Day — promoting the use of the language to build software.
Years later, Pereira Tech Talks emerged with a goal to host these same kinds of talks, but in a more language-agnostic format that could welcome a larger audience and more speakers.
Over the years, PereiraJS and PerTT organizers have increasingly prioritized that broader space. That is why PereiraJS is “joining” Pereira Tech Talks. But what does that mean in practice?
The talks continue under Pereira Tech Talks. PereiraJS still keeps its website, its repository, its Meetup.com space, and its social channels — but the focus has shifted toward PerTT events.
