OpenClaw Moltys at the UTP

You can spot a Moltys meetup from across the room: it fills up with the red lobster claws of the OpenClaw mascot, and with people who came to show what they are actually building. On April 11, 2026 we gathered at the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira for a morning of workshop and conversation, supported by Cursor.

This was not a long deck in front of a silent audience. The Moltys format makes room for the community to share configurations, experiments, and the odd — and useful — connections between agents, messaging, and tooling. Ten real projects in the room teach you more than the best slide.

Talks

  1. OpenClaw from scratch: history, how it works, and use cases — Sergio Flórez. What OpenClaw is, where it comes from, how the agent + gateway + tools model fits together, and what people actually use it for.
  2. Inside OpenClaw: technical details, field testing, and lessons learned — Sebastián Franco. Under-the-hood architecture, what showed up in real tests, and the friction that only appears off the happy path.
  3. OpenClaw in personal life: real workflows from day-to-day use — Alejandro E. Rendón. How he has used OpenClaw personally: setups that stuck and workflows that are no longer a demo.

The architecture matters, but the point of the meetup is the room: questions that only come from someone who has already hit the wall, tricks that never make it into the documentation, and a back-and-forth between people building agents on their own machines.

Thanks

Thanks to the UTP for hosting us, to Cursor for supporting the event, and to everyone who showed up with projects — and with the claws on. Mornings like this are why local communities matter.
